I'd like to take the opportunity to personally welcome and thank you for visiting Check Illinois, http://consumer.public-record.com. Our main objective is to increase the access that consumers have to public records, and provide a fast, easy-to-use, and affordable portal for you to access this information.

Like all big ideas, the Check Illinois site has been years in the making, and still a work in progress. We'd like to share with you some of our future plans for the site, and also invite you to provide us with your questions, feedback, ideas so you may make this site your own.

Since our main business involves the sharing of information, it was obvious to us that Check Illinois' atmosphere would do the same. In addition to providing access to Northern Illinois public records, each week in this spot we will be posting articles on public record-related topics such as safety, legality issues, public record news, and other information designed to educate and enlighten our visitors about the power and uses of public records.

Another helpful tool in the works for Check Illinois is the expansion of our public record search options. Three new search features which will be coming soon include the ability to search by address, company name, and telephone number. Searching by address is valuable to those looking for specific home prices and foreclosures. Searching by company name will make it easy to check on Business Licenses, Incorporations, Mortgages, and Bankruptcies. Searching by phone number will be great for helping people locate the name on missed calls or voice mails from companies or individuals. These new search features will be available in the next few months.

At Check Illinois, we would like to create a community of information sharing and education about the uses of public records. It's the same reason that our parent company, Record Information Services, went into business 16 years ago: to help make public records, well, available to the public. Please e-mail us your interesting article ideas, questions about public records, and stories about what you find out through the use of public records. We look forward to hearing your ideas and how we can serve you better!
